Priority One Group

Priority One Group, LLC is a Costa Rica–based, U.S.-connected consulting and protection services firm established in 1996. We support high-trust clients—C-level leaders, HNWIs, and families—who need a disciplined, single point of accountability when the stakes are high and the details matter.

We operate with a hybrid model: on-the-ground support in Costa Rica when presence is required, and remote/virtual coordination from the U.S. when speed, continuity, and oversight are the priority. Our work spans three core lanes: Executive Oversight Consulting (vendor-neutral coordination, due diligence, and risk management across complex projects), Dignitary Protection (protective planning and close protection support for principals and families), and C-level Virtual COO IT Services (fractional operations leadership for IT, vendors, security, and execution).

Confidence through oversight, protection, and IT leadership.

Executive Oversight

Executive Oversight is a vendor-neutral, client-first management role where you act as the single point of accountability for complex, high-stakes projects (like relocation, property, security, or operations). You coordinate and verify the work of attorneys, contractors, agents, and service providers; track scope, timeline, budget, and risk; and keep decisions documented—so the client gets outcomes, not surprises, and doesn’t have to manage multiple parties alone.

Dignitary Protection

Dignitary Protection is the planning and delivery of close-in security for at-risk or high-profile people, including HNWIs and their families, so they can travel, attend events, and live day-to-day with reduced exposure to threats. It combines advance work (route/venue assessments and coordination with drivers, staff, and local authorities), protective presence (escort and close protection), and contingency planning (medical and emergency response) to maintain safety without disrupting normal life.

C-Level IT Services

C-Level Virtual COO IT Services is a senior, fractional operations-and-technology leadership role where you act like a virtual COO for the business side of IT. You translate executive goals into an IT operating plan, set priorities and governance, manage vendors and internal teams, control budgets and timelines, and drive execution across initiatives (security, infrastructure, cloud/M365/Google Workspace, workflows, compliance). The result is “COO-level” accountability and clarity—without hiring a full-time C-suite operator.

Executive Oversight Consulting

Executive Oversight Consulting is a client-first, vendor-neutral leadership service that makes sure complex, high-stakes projects get done correctly, safely, and on time—without the client having to personally manage multiple professionals, contractors, and moving parts.

At its core, the Executive Oversight Consultant acts as the single point of accountability across the whole effort (for example: relocation, property acquisition or build-out, security planning, business setup, or major operational changes). Rather than “selling” any one solution, the consultant coordinates the right specialists, verifies the work being performed, and keeps decisions and progress visible so there are fewer surprises.

What it typically includes:

  • Strategy and planning: clarify objectives, define scope, map dependencies, and set success criteria
  • Risk management: identify security, legal, financial, and operational risks early; create mitigation and contingency plans
  • Vendor coordination: source/coordinate attorneys, real estate, contractors, IT, security, logistics; keep everyone aligned
  • Due diligence and verification: validate claims, quality of work, deliverables, and documentation (trust-but-verify)
  • Project governance: timelines, budgets, checklists, reporting cadence, and decision logs
  • Client advocacy: protect the client’s interests, reduce conflicts of interest, and prevent “vendor-driven” decisions

The outcome is peace of mind and control: the client gets clear options, documented decisions, and disciplined execution—while avoiding costly mistakes, miscommunication, delays, and unmanaged risk.

Dignitary Protection & Consulting

Dignitary Protection & Consulting is a discreet, client-first security service designed to keep high-profile and at-risk individuals—executives, public figures, HNWIs, and families—safe while they travel, conduct business, and attend public or private engagements. It blends close protection with disciplined planning: advance work, route and venue considerations, coordination with staff/drivers/venues, and clear communications so the principal can move confidently without disruption.

As part of our dignitary protection mission, we also support protective readiness through training and capability-building with police and special units in Costa Rica, including UPP and UEA, to strengthen their duties in protecting government officials.

C-Level IT Solutions

C-Level / COO IT Services is a fractional, executive-level leadership service that brings COO-style operational discipline to your technology function. Instead of just “fixing IT,” we align technology to business goals, set priorities, manage vendors and internal resources, and drive execution across security, infrastructure, cloud services, and continuity—so leadership gets clear decisions, predictable outcomes, and accountability.

This work typically includes IT strategy and roadmapping, risk and cybersecurity oversight, budgeting and vendor governance, documentation and executive reporting, and hands-on program leadership for initiatives like cloud migrations, modernization, and DR/BCP readiness. Our technical scope commonly spans platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, Windows Server, VMware, Veeam, Synology NAS, Azure and AWS, Exchange/SQL Server environments, and Cisco networking (including Meraki and Umbrella), plus monitoring and operational tooling.

In the U.S., we’ve delivered virtual CIO/COO support and oversight for organizations including First 8 Memphis, La Cocina, Center for Independent Living, and HWVP—bringing practical, security-minded execution and leadership to complex IT environments.
